Hi there, My name is Laurel Hollingshead and welcome to my online portfolio. I am a graduate of the Digital Animation program and the Interactive Motion Graphics program at the Nova Scotia Community College. During my 4 years of study I specialized in 3D modeling. I am familiar with both 3DS Max and Maya. As of August 2009 I have been employed as an intern at the Department of National Defence at CFB Gagetown. During my time here I create 3D models for training purposes as well as preparing models for the 3D printer. I have received a 6 month extension and will continue to be working here until the end of January 2011. I have always been interested in 3D modeling and furniture design. And I'm now slowly starting to combine both of these interests together. Hopefully you will see the first set of results of this in the late summer. I have the piece 50% modeled, then I just have to create the blueprints and then actually build it. It should be interesting.
